Lily Stoner

Certified Nurse Midwife

I’m thrilled to be the new addition to the Golden Oak team!

For the past decade, I have been committed to serving Bay Area individuals and families in the reproductive healthcare setting. I worked as a volunteer doula, home-visiting prenatal and postpartum case manager, and medical assistant at Planned Parenthood. I had the opportunity to work extensively with individuals facing unique and complex challenges, and aimed to be an unwavering source of support, warmth, and unbiased information for my clients. Seeing the impact of this work served as the impetus for my calling as a midwife. I  graduated from Yale School of Nursing with my RN degree and Master’s in Midwifery and Women’s Health.

I love midwifery because it holds a person’s identities, life experiences, and values central in their care. While completing my master’s, I engaged in a year-long concentration in Gender, Sexuality and Health Justice, which focused on caring for the LGBTQIA+ community. As a queer and bilingual (English/Spanish) midwife, I am committed to supporting all people in feeling empowered and affirmed in their care, particularly in the world of pregnancy and reproductive health. In this work, fostering trust and connection with people through the vulnerable, exhilarating and unfamiliar gives me so much purpose and joy.

I was raised in Berkeley and still can’t get enough of Bay Area nature. I love leisurely bike rides, spending time with my partner and two cats, and perusing thrift stores for finds. One of these days, I hope to learn how to make my own clothing!
