In this course Kaitlin will cover:

Feeding: 

  • Dispelling myths—cultural and/or family that can negatively interfere with our feeding process
  • The impact birth can have on feeding & potential risk factors (seeking help early)
  • Understanding  milk supply & nipple and breast care.
  • How to know your baby is feeding well: feeding patterns in the first weeks; cues/signs of satisfaction/needing more
  • Understanding a good latch
  • Brief discuss on pumps; your rights, which are better than others, when to start, and how to bottle feed the breastfed baby
  • When feeding doesn't go as planned, now what?
  • Whose opinion matters and why do so many peoole have one?
